My love of photography began many years ago, but becoming a professional photographer became a serious goal for me in 2001. For the past six years, I have also been the Newsletter Editor for the Sackville Photography Club. My personal favorite types of shots are landscapes, sunsets, sunrises, unusual shaped trees and wildlife. I love tramping through the woods or climbing over rocks, to try to capture that "great" shot. I write poetry about nature and now I turn my words into beautiful pictures. I have a beautiful daughter, and a very supportive husband. Just about every weekend, I am out shooting weddings, off with the Photoclub or discovering new places in the Maritimes with my photographer pals shooting, so it is a good thing my husband is such a good sport. My daughter and her fiance are both geologists and work and live in British Columbia. Most of my photography is produced with the Canon EOS 30D Digital SLR and the Canon Rebel T1. A studio that I use is located in downtown Halifax for easy access, and my in-home studio will be up and running soon. Most of the time, I use nature as my backdrop. If you want a unique approach to capturing a special memory, I would be happy to get together with you to see if I can help you capture that moment of a lifetime. So what are you waiting for! Enjoy your visit!
